Garden of Eden

The second stop on the Spring Break Road Trip was the Garden of Eden. Pictured here is one of the statues. This one depicts all the people who are crucifying the laborer.

The man who made all these statues, as a tourist attraction, wasn't sure if he was going to go to heaven or hell. This is the angel he made to take him to heaven. The angel sits on top of the building he is burried in. Well, burried may not be accurate way to say it. He is in this building in a glass coffin. Visitors can view his rotting corpse. Beside his coffin is a jug, so if he went "the other way" he could get water on the way down. He had heard there was no water there.

A pretty brutal statue of Cain and Abel.

We were their first charter of the year. It was still too cold for the locals, around 60 degrees. This absolutely perfect weather for Washington. We even got sun burned while we were out.

Easter egg hunt

I still love Easter egg hunts. There is no convincing needed to get me to go hide eggs. I even initiated it this year. It brings back so many great memories of hiding eggs in my front yard. We hid the eggs we died. There were always a few casualties, but that just meant got to have a snack. Above are three of our nieces out hunting for those modern plastic eggs. I love these pictures: sweet girls in a rurual setting looking for eggs. It seems so nice and ideal. Of course, life there, or any place isn't, but these pictures could make you believe otherwise.
