Mount Rainier

Kevin looking for wind.

Our second tow.

Larry to the rescue. We love you Larry!

We did our first over night sail to Gig Harbor a few weeks ago. We had great weather the first day. That night I slept out on the deck of the boat which was nice but if the bench would have been a foot wider it would have been awesome. The second day we didn't have any wind and we ran out of gas. We finally decided we needed to get back and flagged down another boat for a tow. They had a death in the family while they were towing us and had to let us go. We sorta sailed for a little while, but were drifting too close to the shipping lane. So we called on the radio for help and another gracious boat picked us up and towed us to Alki where Larry met us. We could just sit on the sailboat and watch as Larry used a foot pump to inflate his little raft . He was our hero.
"There is no reason why it shouldn't float." -Larry talking about his raft.
"Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want." -Kevin said this over and over trying to convience himself I think.
